Crystal Rocks: The Genius of Robson Jorge and Lincoln Olivetti, Vol. 4

From the late 70s to the mid-80s the Brazilian duo of Robson Jorge and Lincoln Olivetti wrote, performed on, arranged and produced dozens of hit songs for a variety of artists, from washed out has-beens to go-getter up-and-comers to established superstars. Their style was unique and became the symbol of an era until a huge critical backlash deemed it as too formulaic and aloof and drove it to oblivion. This fourth mix dedicated to the duo has the following tracklist:

Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti “Squash”
Junior e Mariana “Pedras de Cristal”
Viviane “Estrela”
Brylho “Joia Rara”
Mário Gomes “O Dono da Bola”
Banda Grafite “Superstar”
Rádio Táxi “Sanduíche de Coração”
Rita Lee "Lança Perfume”
Quarteto em Cy “Bem Mais Além”
Almir Ricardi “Superman”
Dedé “Sinceramente”
Fagner “Tranquilamente”
Taxi “Pode Chorar”
Tony Bizarro “Estou Livre”

Cover: actress and TV personality Scarlet Moon on her birthday cocktail at the Regine's nightclub, Rio de Janeiro, 1976; 'Scarlet Moon', the song, written as an homage by Rita Lee, on a version by Scarlet's future husband Lulu Santos, is featured on the previous mix.
